From this screen you can manage the product database:

Search the Database

Enter search query details by following the steps below

1. Search where:
   • Code
   • Brand
   • Name
   • Description
   • Category
   • Price (Regular)
   • Price (Discounted)
   • Discounted From
   • Discounted To
   • Current Stock
   • Total Stock
   • Date Available
   • Last Updated
2. Select a search method from the drop down box:
   • is equal to
   • not equal to
   • like
   • not like
   • less than
   • greater than
3. Enter your search value (for example: Name is like computer)
   Select search results order from the drop down boxes:
   • Code
   • Brand
   • Name
   • Description
   • Category
   • Price (Regular)
   • Price (Discounted)
   • Discounted From
   • Discounted To
   • Current Stock
   • Total Stock
   • Date Available
   • Last Updated
   • Ascending
   • Descending
4. Select the search button to display results. Results will appear in the window with number of pages and records returned. Results will show a product information summary for each search result returned. This also includes a coloured box that indicates different stock levels at a glance. Colours used are Red, Amber and Green to indicate current stock levels for that product.
5. If you wish to refine the search, enter details and search again
6. If you wish to start a new search, select 'Clear' in the bottom right corner of the database screen, and start again.

Load a New Product

Please set up your Product Categories before you add products to the database. Categories need to be set up before the products will show on your site. See the help from the catergories section.

Import Products into the Database

Products can be bulk-imported from a tab delimited text file, Excel can be used to create this.

Not all column names will have to be entered, just the ones that you want for the import. However you must include a code column.

Ensure the ones you do have are in the appropriate order.

1. Once you have prepared your file, click the Import button.
2. Navigate to your file
3. Click OK to import

Bulk Update of Existing Products within the Database

The Import function is used for this.

A tab-delimited file needs to be created containing the codes of the products you wish to update, along with the specific information that is wanting to be changed.

As with importing products, the file requires the column names, but only the columns where information is to be updated along with the corresponding product codes.
