Publish RSS Feeds

An RSS feed publishes a summarised flow of frequently updated information such as blog entries, news updates and calendar entries to a document.

This option allows you to publish a pre-existing internal RSS feed in order to make it available for site visitors to subscribe to. To learn how to display an existing internal or external RSS feed in a document click here.

To publish an existing RSS feed:

  1. Open the document that you want the RSS feed to appear in.
  2. Place cursor in the location where you want the feed to appear
  3. Click the 'Accessories' option from the menu bar at the top of the editor window. A drop-down menu will appear.
  4. Click 'PUBLISH RSS FEED..' to open dialog window (above image).
  5. Click the required RSS feed from 'RSS Feeds' drop-down menu.
  6. Click the 'Alignment' option to determine where the icon will be positioned. End users will click this icon to subscribe to updates.
  7. Click 'OK' to apply changes.

Note

To successfully publish an internal RSS feed you must first make a folder or section that will hold documents that will appear in the RSS feed (in summarised format). Next you will have to apply the appropriate settings to the folder or section.
