Email Customers

Emailing consumers allows you to send an email to all consumers that have purchased the product in the past.  Consumers are deemed as any user that as a profile type of Sales Profile and has not been terminated.  This is particularly useful if you want to notify users of any product updates in relation to the product.

To email consumers perform a search for the product and click the Properties button located to the left of the products code in the search results.  The products property dialog window will then be displayed.

Click the 'Email' button located at the button of the dialog window.  the email dialog window will then be displayed.

Enter the name and email address in the 'Name' and 'Email' address fields of the person who the email will be sent from, then enter the subject for the email.  Finally select the document to be emailed from the 'Document to Send' dropdown list and optionally enter a date and time to schedule the delivery of the email.  It is recommended to always preview the email prior to sending to ensure that it looks the way it is intended.

When done click the 'Send' button to add the email to the email distribution queue.

Note You can define product place holders within the document you want to send allowing you to create re-usable product notification templates of varying types.  For a list of place holders refer to Product Management > Product Layouts.
