You can change the publish time to a date in the past or future to determine when and where it appears on your website - this is particularly useful for blogs, press releases and other document lists that are set to order by date. A document without a published date cannot be published to your website. Similarly, if the published date is set to a future time then the page will not appear on your website until the future date arrives.
Setting an expiry date will remove the document from your website at the set time. A document without an expiry date will never expire.
Some permission types will have limited or no access to publishing settings. Contact your site administrator to request permission.
To alter publishing details of a document:
Highlight the document you want to alter by selecting its name listed under the 'FILENAME' heading.
Click 'DOCUMENTS' menu item from the tool bar at the top of your MoST page. A drop-down menu will appear.
Click 'PUBLISHING' option to open the 'PUBLISHING OPTIONS' dialog window (above image).
Change the 'Published' date to change the document's publish time and/or its position in a ordered by date list. Change the 'Expired' date to have the document automatically remove from your website at a set time. Add a future date for document to be reviewed next to 'Reviewed'. You'll receive an email containing the name and location of document when this date arrives.
Click 'OK' to save changes.
Note |
You can create a section to store all new and queued documents to make monitoring easier. Once a document is ready to be published it can be moved to the appropriate section. Site admins have the authority to add new MoST permissions to any user account that means they can be changed to give you full publishing rights. When you receive your 'Reviewed' email you will need to manually find the document via MoST. Use the location address in the email as a guide, however, note that this address cannot be used as a URL to take you directly to document. |
